And it's accessible to any average person with little or no training to treat the most common cause of suspected sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) by delivering shock quickly and effectively anywhere an SCA occurs. The design of M5071A Defibrillator AED Pads is very simple and easy to understand, even ordinary people without any medical background can use it. Because the OnSite AED is designed just for that, OnSite includes features to help guide cardiac arrest treatment with easy setup, clear voice commands and a real-time metronome for performing CPR. And a series of automatic self-tests are performed on a daily, weekly and monthly basis, including testing the pads, internal circuitry, waveform transmission and battery capacity. M5071A Defibrillator AED Pads provide feedback to the AED, allowing it to adapt voice commands to your movements and steps. The system will not announce the next step until the user is ready. Prompts are repeated and rephrased if necessary, and additional clarification is included to aid understanding. The system senses when a special infant/child SMART pad is installed and automatically adjusts CPR commands and shock energy to levels more appropriate for infants and children under 25 kg or 55 lbs.
