To permit maximum lifting capacity and improve safety, ground protection pads (also called outrigger pad, outrigger mat, outrigger base, outrigger stabilizer, outrigger plate, outrigger panel, RV jack pad, crane mat etc.) are used to provide support to terrain and mobile crane outriggers. When ground protection pads are used, the high pressures generated by cranes are distributed over a larger area, reducing the risk of a failure that may lead to a crane accident.

What Size of Ground Protection Pad Do You Need? 

Xinxing ground protection pads are available usually in three categories:
1. Medium Duty (1.0″ thick, 25.4mm)
2. Heavy Duty (2.0″ thick, 50.8mm)
3. Super Duty (3.0″ and 4.0″ thick, 76.2mm and 101.6mm) and others be customized with thicker.

The size and thickness of the ground protection pads depend on the load capacity of your equipment.
